Simit is a very popular Turkish street food made using pekmez (grape molasses) and sesame seeds on the hand-stretched dough. Street vendors carry large trays of Simit stacked on top of one and other, roaming busy corners of high streets and stations all around Turkey.
Baked daily in local Turkish bakeries, Simit is a perfect quick bite on commutes but also enjoyed with cheese, fresh vegetables, and olives in Turkish breakfast.
We’ve sourced the best Simit we can find outside of Turkey, part-baked so you can enjoy the fresh crispy crunch of Simit at home. Gently bake for 3-4 minutes at 170 C in a pre-heated fan-assisted oven.
We are providing two kinds of Turkish simit. One of them is called Simit of Istanbul and the other one is called as Ankara.
